Happy Valentine's Day, everyone. I know I haven't been around much lately, duty calls! And by that, I mean that I've been hiding. Every year, for several months, it's monster after monster. 

First, it's the screaming creatures that thin it's fun to knock on the doors throughout the night. Then, it's the Sandy Claws, who watches you when you sleep. Now, it's the flying baby who goes around, sticking his arrows in innocent cats' fur. what kind of system is this?

I've been hiding in my bed. I bet he can't see me in there.

Superbowl Sunday

Aloha, cats of the world! It's been quite a bit of time since we've spoken, but rest assured, my long period of cat naps is done. 

Today is supposed to be intense. Lots of cheers. Screams. FOOD.

I'm not sure what it means but it's got to be good, this "Super Bowl. A giant food bowl? Count me in!

Whenever I am picked up, cooed at, petted, and directed towards the garage door, I know that something's up. Either they're going to take me to get poked in undesirable places, or my precious, wooly coat is going to be stolen by monsters. 

I knew for a fact that it wouldn't end well, but...

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! May your day be full of thanks... and turkeys! All my readers and friends in the cat blogosphere- I am so thankful for you! We're like big circle of unbreakable meows, so thank you! 

I'm also thankful for my home, my legs healing, food, toys, my comfy bed and rug, and everything else in my life. I feel really bad for those cats (and people) that aren't as lucky as me, so include them in your thanks tonight! 

While the two big people are preparing food, I think I'll be hanging out in the backyard. Cooking is intense. 

Speaking of cooking and yards...I think it's almost time to bring out the Christmas/winter decorations on the blog....

The Blue String

It's come to my attention that there's been an intruder around the house. 

He's blue. Slithery. Suave.  

     

And he's right beneath my nose. 

I tried my hand at a quick burst of capturing this creature, but he keeps getting away! 

         

         

Happy Veterans Day

Hi, everyone! I'd just like to take a minute to remember all of the animals and humans that serve our country. 

On top of that, I'd like to honor Tiddles, Faith, PFC Hammer, and all the other cats who have found themselves in the midst of war. 

Tiddles: Tiddles served with the HMS Victorious, the British aircraft carrier, in the 1940's. It's estimated that he sailed for over 30,000 miles. 

Faith: On the morning of September 6, 1940, Faith moved herself and her single kitten to the upper floor of the basement at her residence, sensing something strange- just one day before London was bombed. She and her kitten were rescued by Father Henry Ross, and she was later awarded a medal for "Steadfast  Courage in the Battle of London."

PFC Hammer: PFC Hammer found himself at home with a U.S. Army Troop in Iran, who served as their food specialist (keeping the mice away from their meals) and was made an honorary member. With the help from several organizations, Hammer was brought to the US, and now lives with his old friend, Sergeant Rick Bousefield. 

Let us honor our service cats, men, and women today, for we might not be here without them.

This Simply Will Not Do

Sorry for the prolonged posting, my loyal minions. I've been busy planning my means of freedom from the "house and backyard."

 Not to mention how to taunt, but escape from pack of coyotes who have decided to take residence somewhere. Those ratfaces jumped into my territory! My tail twitches at the thought. 

        

You may not see me, but I am waiting, in the shadows. 

On another note, trash cans, walls, and large buckets make excellent supports for escape plans. 

Blogoversary!

Guess what day it was on October 2nd? Yup, mah blogoversary! My minions were too "busy" (I say lazy) on Wednesday to help me post, so that's why this is late. Meh. 

(That's just a temporary picture so I can get this post out to the world.) 

In the past year (and four days) I can say that I've accomplished a lot. Surgery. Moved to a different territory. Caught another bird. Who knows what adventures the next year will bring?

And let's not forget the catnip!
